Rockwell Beer Co. opens new beer garden in Francis Park | Off menu

Rockwell Beer Co. is opening its new beer garden today (October 22) at Francis Park in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood.

The garden offers Rockwell beer, of course, as well as wine, cocktails, and food. Guests can also rent pickleball equipment for the park’s new pickleball courts.

“From new lighting and many upgrades to the facilities to improved toilets and an expanded patio with spacious seating and native plantings, this new interpretation of the comfort center space respects the history of the neighborhood while enhancing the living space. ‘visitor experience in the park,’ Rockwell co-founder Heather Sanders said in a statement.

Michael Petres, former executive chef of Gerard Craft’s Niche Food Group, oversees the food menu, which includes (according to the opening day press release) thin crust pizzas.

Pizza options include a margherita pie, Pepperoni Plus (with onion and basil) and Supreme (red sauce and mozzarella with pepperoni, sausage, onion and sweet peppers). The menu also features a chopped salad, spinach-artichoke dip, and chickpea dip.

Rockwell aims to keep the new beer garden open until mid-December. Through Rockwell’s Instagram account, it will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. today until Sunday, with the kitchen closing at 9 p.m.
