Marvel Studios is just weeks away from its big return to the entertainment spotlight with Oscar Isaac moon knightthe MCU’s sixth Disney+ show in Phase 4. Isaac will play the mysterious and enigmatic Marc Spector in a unique story about a man with multiple personalities living inside his head, while learning to manage his newfound superpowers from an Egyptian deity.
Isaac is no stranger to big projects like those in the MCU after playing the titular villain of X-Men: Apocalypse and Poe Dameron’s key supporting role in the star wars sequel trilogy. Now he’s fully embarking on one of Marvel Studios’ newest entities as he plays one of the first heroes to help develop the franchise’s supernatural story.
Now that the series is about to release, Isaac is able to open up a bit about what he’s most looking forward to people seeing when moon knightThe story comes to fruition. Recently, he reiterated his excitement for people to see his work with Marvel Studios while opening up about some of his resistance to initially taking on the Disney+ role.
Oscar Isaac’s connection to Moon Knight
During an interview at the 2022 SAG Awards, via Additional, moon knight Star Oscar Isaac has shared a preview of his upcoming solo series with the MCU.
When asked what fans can expect to see, Isaac called the show “(his baby” while admitting that he hopes it wows the collective spirit of the fandom:
“It’s coming out March 30th on Disney+, I’m so excited. It turned out to be my baby. I put it all in. Hope it blows minds.”
In a separate conversation with Empire Review, Isaac revealed that he was initially hesitant to return to a major studio like Marvel for a blockbuster movie or TV show. He admitted he didn’t want to be “on a massive platter,” even wondering what he was doing there in the first place:
“My first thought was ‘No, I don’t want to go back to those kind of machines.’ I’ve done this before The last thing I want is to be on a massive plateau [thinking] ‘What am I doing here?’
Isaac compared projects like this to “build (a) plane on the runway” and put things together on the fly. He wanted the opportunity to return to something a little more “Handmade” rather than a big corporate blockbuster:
“A lot of times in these big movies it feels like you’re building the plane on the runway. The idea of going back to ‘handmade’ movies, character studies…I desperately needed that feeling.
The leading man entered moon knight wanting to make sure there was a “experimental” feel what came to the final cut. This would help further explore the character’s personality, specifically touching on the “state of fear” Marc Spector so often experiences:
“How do we make it an experimental thing, so we’re inside the character’s eyes, living in their fearful and unknown state?”

Oscar Isaac is known for wanting to take on projects where he can fully immerse himself in the roles he takes on, whether in Hollywood blockbusters or small independent projects. It’s clear the longtime star finds the chance to do it again with moon knightalready taking ownership by calling the new show her baby.
There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding what Isaac will bring to the table when moon knight is coming, but from what fans have seen in trailers and TV spots so far, the seasoned actor has already shown a wide range of passion and emotion that promises a great finished product.
