NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Christmas is coming five months early! New Orleans’ Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and NOLA ChristmasFest announced the first-ever Jolly event in July. The free event will take place on Saturday, July 30 at the Live Oak Porch, just across from the Convention Center‘s HI Lobby.
Families can look forward to beating the scorching heat by tucking into holiday-flavored snowballs and writing letters to veterans to spread holiday cheer. Along with this, guests will also have the opportunity to watch a holiday movie and take photos with Swirly the Elf and Summer Santa. The film will begin at 7:45 p.m. Interested guests can click here to learn more.
Jolly in July is a summer spinoff of NOLA ChristmasFest, which is a 10-day event featuring an ice rink, Yuletide Market, and several kid-friendly holiday attractions.
Attending guests can park for free in lot F for families in a car with a child under 12. A parent or guardian must be present with children under 18. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments and concessions will be available for purchase. No outside food or drink will be allowed.
