New brand message unveiled by Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau | Local

GREENSBORO – You are welcome. That’s the new brand messaging campaign for the city released Tuesday by the Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The marketing tool came after more than 4,500 surveys were completed by community members, stakeholders, students and visitors to better understand people’s impressions of Greensboro and the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the city, according to a CVB press release.

“This brand reflects both the welcoming spirit of Greensboro and our appreciation for the wonderful community in which we live,” the CVB said in the statement. “Through this new branding, we are able to express to potential new residents, businesses and organizations that they are welcome to Greensboro, and to share with visitors and current residents the many amenities, events and benefits welcome they will find here.”

The slogan will be added to advertising campaigns promoting the city and seeking to attract new residents, businesses and visitors.

CVB partnered with national society Development Counselors International and local agency Boulton Creative to create surveys and collect results.
