By the end of the physical event, Thai vendors had won a total of 94 leads and 10,362 people, which is expected to generate 683 million baht in revenue. Prospects come from India, Singapore, USA and Europe like Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and Belgium. The industries represented are pharmaceuticals, IT, automotive and insurance.
President of the TCEB, Mr. Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthayasaid: “The fact that Thailand was able to secure 94 prospects at IT&CMA this year shows that the world is very keen to return to Thailand for MICE. Thailand remains a solid choice for overseas customers. The 3 MICE cities in the North East, meanwhile, are expected to attract around 60 groups by the end of next year. This is proof that TCEB is on the right track in developing destinations in a different cultural and geographic region, offering more locations and generating revenue for more parts of the country.”
“Furthermore, we are particularly encouraged that our efforts to advocate for MICE with local and international actors over the past two years have not gone unnoticed. We thank the TTG Travel Awards and the readers of TTG’s stable of publications for voting us “Best Convention and Exhibition Bureau”. We believe in what we do and we will help you achieve the magic of MICE in Thailand”concluded Mr. Chiruit.
