GSIS offers COVID-19 emergency loans

MANILA, Philippines — Starting Monday, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) public pension fund will be accepting new applications for its COVID-19 emergency loan program.

Loan applications from serving and retired members will be accepted until June 21, GSIS said in a notice.

Those who have already benefited from the COVID-19 emergency loan are no longer eligible. GSIS said qualified borrowers with existing emergency loans could borrow up to 40,000 pesos.
