Firefighters’ Convention and Parade Return to Wildwoods September 17, 18 | Cape May

THE WILDWOODS – The annual New Jersey State Firefighters Convention returns to Wildwoods from Friday September 17 to Saturday September 18, drawing firefighters and their families to the Five Mile Island for equipment shows, seminars, vendors and a parade.

Fire trucks and fire apparatus from across the state will be on display in the parking lots of the Wildwoods Convention Center on Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Five Mile Beach Volunteer Firefighters Association will also be presenting a firefighting equipment exhibit. and vendors of fire related products, often described as the largest exhibition of its kind east of the Mississippi. The exhibit will be held at Fox Park across from the Wildwoods Convention Center, also Friday 8 am-6pm and Saturday 8 am-1pm.

The firefighters parade will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. along New Jersey Avenue from Cresse Avenue in Wildwood Crest, heading north to 26th Avenue in North Wildwood. Congressman Jeff Van Drew is the Parade’s Grand Marshal.
