Everyday Kitchen launches its new fall menu

Champaign, IL (WCIA)

As the days get shorter, Everyday Kitchen has rolled out an all-new all-day menu, as well as dinner main courses, craft cocktails and $5 happy hours, all in celebration of comfort food.

The star of the new All-Day menu is the Bavarian “BFD” pretzel. Literally the size of your head, it’s cooked to order, served with homemade cheese sauce and spicy mustard, and big enough to feed four (or just one…we’re not judging!)

Other items that won rave reviews included Irish nachos, filled with corned beef; Spicy Mushroom Diablo Tacos, Michael’s localized take on a central Illinois classic: Horseshoe. Our version features hand-carved oven-roasted turkey breast and beer-battered Sidewinder fries smothered in a succulent queso blanco sauce.

Starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, eight entrees are added to the menu. Must-haves include an espresso-and-herb-rubbed prime rib, slow-roasted for eight hours and served with a decadent brie and new-potato pie au jus and cream of horseradish; the mouth-watering “Nashville Hot” pork cutlet served with two of Everyday Kitchen’s expanded sides: creamy macaroni and cheese and southern braised vegetables; and a traditional corned beef dinner, featuring tender slices of maple-mustard glazed corned beef served with tender sautéed cabbage, buttered new potatoes, and roasted baby carrots.

Cocktails and mocktails are also remixed on the new menu. Specialty drinks include Fireside, a hearty blend of mezcal, tequila, and vermouth sweetened with bitters and cherry; the Tomfoolery, with barrel-aged tomcat gin, bourbon, fresh sage and orange, and the Tan Bowler, which combines cognac, bourbon and apricot liqueur with a salty honey syrup and a hint of grapefruit. A thoughtful range of custom-made zero-proof mocktails includes After The Leaves Fall, mixing homemade apple-cinnamon syrup and sparkling water; and Thanksgiving Without The Family, which combines a fig-rosemary-cinnamon syrup with touches of tonic and cranberry juice.

Everyday Kitchen hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with brunch served 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on weekends. To learn more or to make reservations, please visit our website or call 217-607-1960.

At Everyday Kitchen, we want to change the world one burger, one meatloaf and one macaroni and cheese at a time. As part of a grassroots effort by Moose International, 100% of proceeds from our restaurant, bar and cafe will go to helping at-risk children grow into healthy, happy adults. Everyday Kitchen (alongside our Kids Camp, Workplace and private events spaces) is part of Lodgic Everyday Community, where everyone is welcome as we support the aspirations of children, families, businesses and our local Champaign- Urbana. By dining, drinking, and enjoying coffee with us, Champaign-Urbana residents enjoy more than just a great meal, craft cocktail, or caffeinated beverage…they’re supporting a great cause.

Everyday Kitchen has also rolled out a new happy hour menu, available Wednesday through Friday. Local beers are just $3 and the full-size version of our featured menu – Sheet Pan Nachos – is just $5 from 3-6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday.
