The Washington County Democratic Party will hold a biennial reorganization convention to elect new leaders on August 14.

The meeting will take place at the Carver Recreation Center Gym. Doors open for registrations at 9 a.m. and start of the convention at 10 a.m.

A Hybrid Zoom option is available for those who cannot attend in person.

Local Democrats will elect a president, vice-president, meeting secretary, corresponding secretary, treasurer, and executive committee members from all regions of the county for a two-year term.

All resident Democrats and registered voters in Washington County are invited to participate to discuss the party’s agenda and events for 2021-2022. During the convention, the voting delegation will adopt the county party statutes and elect new leaders.

County party leaders say the reorganization convention welcomes all Washington County Democrats. Participants must arrive early to complete accreditation forms and be admitted to the convention before it begins.

Accreditation will require participants to be registered voters in Washington County. It is strongly recommended that you verify your registration status on GoVoteTn.com before participating.

For those unable to attend in person, contact the reorganization committee at [email protected] for more information on how to register and participate through the Zoom option.
