Abia: Vice President Ifeanyi Uchendu meets with PDP stakeholders in Nkporo, seeks support

Ahead of the 2023 elections, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu today held a meeting with PDP stakeholders in Nkporo at the home of Abia State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu.

The meeting according to the legislator was to seek the support of stakeholders and the whole party membership in Nkporo and to explain to them the need for the party to remain united to succeed in 2023.

He pleaded with party members to ignore the incidences of the past that threatened party unity and look to the future which he said is best for the party.

Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu also took the opportunity to specially thank the leader of the PDP in Abia North, Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, who is the Deputy Governor of the State, for taking time out of his busy schedule to attend the meeting which he noted laid bare humility and the Deputy Governor’s keen sense of leadership.

He further praised the number 2 citizen of the state for bringing down the dividends of democracy to the people of Nkporo through his boss, Governor Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu and argued that there would be more to come if they continued to work hard for the success of the party in their region.

Addressing members of his party, Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu said the people of Nkporo have been very supportive of the PDP since the establishment of the Democratic dispensation and expressed great optimism that the party would continue to enjoy support.

Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu clarified that he remains a very committed member of the PDP and assured that the people of Nkporo will deliver all party candidates in the next general election.

He advised Rt. Hon. Uchendu to accompany party members in Nkporo in his programs and activities and expressed his confidence that his good works will speak for him.

The meeting brought together the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, Chairman of the Nkporo PDP Stakeholder Forum, Nkporo Councilors led by the Leader of the Ohafia Legislative Council, Ward Presidents and PDP Leaders in Nkporo and others while Rt. Hon . Ifeanyi Uchendu was accompanied by members of his campaign team led by Chief JJ Okoro and others.
